Surfing and Aquatic Playground
In just over 130 kilometres of pristine coastline, from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin, there are 75 top class surf breaks spread along the breathtakingly beautiful coast line.

This confluence of the Southern and Indian Oceans boasts some of the cleanest water on the planet and only its remoteness keeps the Capes area one of the least crowded of the world’s great surfing areas. All year-round, powerful ground swells generated deep in the Southern Ocean (the notorious Roaring Forties and Howling Fifties thousands of kilometres south west of Cape Leeuwin) roll in a north-easterly direction to meet the reef and beach breaks of this rugged coast. The result is some of the most consistent, spectacular, high-quality surf anywhere on earth. The ocean temperature varies little throughout the year and therefore those hunting the ultimate wave can surf here at any time. The region has a long history of epic surfing since the first crew came from Perth in the 60′s; the Eastern States invasion of the 70′s and beyond; the development of National events and the international attention that led to world ranking international events.
